What information do we collect?
When you use this website, we collect certain pieces of data about you. This is primarily impersonal analytical data which allows us to improve our website and suit it better to the needs and demands of our users. But we may also collect other information too. Cookies are used to collect analytical data, and to manage the membership sign up process.
The data we collect:
- If you get in touch with us using our contact form then you will have provided your email address, your IP address, and any other details or message contents you may have entered into the form. We will retain contact form submissions for as long as is pertinent. The information submitted will not be used for any other purose without your clearly expressed and prior consent.
- If you are a party member and therefore have an account with this website, the personal details such as you name, address, email address and other details relating to your membership are held for the duration of your membership. You can access and update all of these details at any time by logging into your account and going to the ‘You Membership Details‘ page.
Where is your data?
The data we collect is stored on our secure server which is located in Denmark. Analytical and other data may be collected by Google Analytics, Facebook and MailChimp, and these may be stored outside the European Union, but your privacy is protected by the EU-US Privacy Shield.
Who has access to your data?
The number of people who have access to your data, both analytical website usage data, and membership and contact information, is kept to a minimum. You cannot be identified personally from analytical data. Member details are accessible only by those who administer the membership system and manage the party finances. Your details may also be passed to your local, regional or national branch, if one exists. We may also pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so. But we won’t share your information with any other organisations for their own use in marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites other than those stated above. We do share information about your use of our site with our trusted social media, advertising and analytics partners, including Facebook, in order to improve and promote our campaigns and attract more members and supporters.
How do we protect your data?
Due to the nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee the security of your data. The data you transfer over the internet, you do at your own risk. However, we have taken steps to protect your data. We use a secure connection for all data transfers to and from our server, and we have implemented security features to reduce the risk of unauthorised access.
Your rights over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
